BIOGRAPHY

As a mother, a filmmaker, a teacher, a wife, an advocate for multilingual education in the public schools and co-owner of Tied to the Tracks Films, I'm a busy woman. I have the great fortune of sharing life with Thomas L. Trumble Jr., a fantastic web producer and first rate filmmaker when he was into that kind of thing. Our daughters are a daily inspiration to do meaningful work. Both girls have folded production into their own lives. Alejandra, barely a month old, nursed quietly while I edited Stephen Kijak's "Never Met Picasso." Isabela saved the day when she participated at the last minute on an episode of "Peep and the Big Wide World" after two kids called in sick with the flu.

As my kids know every project is an adventure, a chance to learn something new and meet people from all walks of life. Whether I'm teaching film or making a film I find myself negotiating the same issues of diverse voices, clarity of story and creating something worthwhile.
